Write to your national forestry / environment ministry about old-growth protection
Most countries with mature or primary forest have a national agency that decides whether logging deferrals, protected-area expansions, or stricter primary-forest rules go ahead. Those decisions are politically contested and constituent letters move them. Find your country's agency and the most-recent FAO or Global Forest Watch figure for it; cite both in a short, civil letter; ask for a specific deferral or stricter rule.
